Peter Waddington studied acting at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art and has worked extensively in the theatre throughout the British Isles. His favourite stage roles include Pip in Great Expectations and Cassius in Julius Caesar (both at The Young Vic), Mason in Journey's End at The Whitehall Theatre in London's West End, and touring the UK's regional theatres as Arthur Hoyle in John Godber's Up and Under.

In recent years, Waddington has specialised in screen acting, enjoying the technical demands and the challenge of hitting multiple marks around a choreographed labyrinthine camera move when the dialogue has just been changed for the third time and "we've only got one shot at it before the light goes"! His work is mainly for British television, with many guest appearances in acclaimed shows such as Agatha Christie's Poirot, Inspector Morse, Lord Peter Wimsey, Aimee, Coogan's Run, A Royal Scandal, Campion, Silent Witness, Aquila, Berkeley Square, 'Allo 'Allo, Martin Chuzzlewit, House Of Eliott, and Tales From The Crypt.

Waddington's cinematic contributions have included Little Dorrit, The Fool, Secrets And Lies, and The Calling.
