Mark Benton trained at RADA, and is a well-respected and well-recognised actor in the UK, having appeared in numerous films, television and theatre productions. On film, Mark has acted in three films for Mike Leigh - Topsy Turvy, Career Girls and the director's latest project. Other British feature credits include Lighthouse Hill, The Reckoning, Redemption Road, Never Better, Sea Change, All or Nothing and Bigtime Charley Tomato.
On British television, he was acclaimed as Chuckie in Eureka Street, and has recently played Zozimov in Julian Jarrold's Crime of Punishment. Other recent television appearances were in Beautiful Love, Nature Boy, Holby City, Randall and Hopkirk Deceased and as Terence Hawkshaw in This Is Personal, the story of the search for the Yorkshire Ripper.
Mark's theatre credits are numerous - for the RSC and the Royal National Theatre and in the West End - and include Accidental Death of an Anarchist, The Devil's Disciple, Richard III, As You Like It, Hurly Burly and Sam Mendes' Donmar Warehouse production of The Front Page.
